Domesticating IT is movin on upAs a child of the 70’s, I (all too) frequently turn to songs and television and movie quotes from that era. One song that might describe today’s announcement is Billy Joel’s “Movin’ Out.”  But I think a more appropriate one would be the theme song from the Jeffersons, “Movin’ On Up.”

That’s because I’m really excited to announce that Domesticating IT has finalized plans to join Authentia as its new internet marketing and web development practice. I’m going to continue to spread inbound marketing goodness. The difference is that now I’ll be doing it with a team instead of on my own.

What Happened?

I got busy. Really busy. Stupid busy. As more and more referrals came in, I was finding it more and more difficult to squeeze in all of the things I wanted to do for my clients. That wasn’t acceptable, so I had a choice to make. Either I was going to have to start turning away business or else I’d have to find a way to expand.

I chose the latter.

Authentia builds top-line revenue ecosystems and has growing demand for the quality of social media marketing which Domesticating IT has demonstrated for several years.  “Moving the needle in organic revenue growth must now include a strategic inbound marketing component”, says Authentia’s CEO, Conrad Sanford, “We think Jon DiPietro, now heading this practice, with the thought leadership our clients demand.”

I met Conrad working on a project last summer and we hit it off. It turns out that he was already partnered with a couple of other guys who, collectively, are really good at building businesses, planning projects and delivering services. That’s exactly what I needed at exactly the time when I needed it.

What’s Next?

I’m going to continue working with my clients the same way I always have. The big difference is that I’m going to spend less time on the tactics and more time on the strategy. That’s where I add the most value for my clients anyway. I now have access to a team of fantastic graphic designers, efficient and creative copywriters, search engine optimization ninjas and WordPress gurus. Together, we’ll be able fly higher and farther than ever before!

And so this website will return to its roots; my humble, personal blog. My business services will henceforth be delivered through Authentia. I’m grateful to all my past and present clients and hope you’ll all follow me as I move up to that “deluxe apartment in the sky.”
